The Salt Road

His name, Via Salaria, unlike all other consular officers who are named for the architect of their construction, is directly derived from the essential use that if it was: talk about the transportation of salt. This, and other ancient streets, constituted a system of absolutely strategic road link unit and is present even before the foundation of Rome the eighth century BC. Are still visible of the ruins, the remains of the old Via Salaria.
